June 2007

My Brother Knights:

With this message, our Columbian Year draws to an end. It has been a year of many successes and a year in which we should all take pride that our Council is still one of the best in the State.

I suppose I could enumerate all of the successes that we’ve earned during this past Columbian year, but you all are already aware of these wonderful accomplishments – that’s because you are the ones, the Brothers, whose hard work, dedication and love for the Council have made it possible.

I’m sure that with persistent love and hard work, we will continue to support the many deserving charities that we do. With the Unity and Fraternity that our Council was founded on, we can sustain the high standards that we have set for ourselves.

With the observance of memorial day, a time when we honor our veterans and soldiers for their bravery and commitment to protecting all we hold close to our hearts, I would like to thank all our veterans and soldiers for the sacrifices that they have made and that they continue to make. While we were not and cannot be with you, we have and will always keep you in our prayers. May God continue to keep you safe. Thank you to all the Brothers and the Color Corps for participating in the Hanover Township Memorial Day parade.

The past weekend’s Tricky Tray proved to be another great success and kind of fun too! Thank you to the ladies and the 45 Brothers who made it all possible.

As the Columbian Year comes to an end, I hope that you will all enjoy your summer and think of ways to help our Council to continue its path of doing His work in the upcoming year.

As I come to the end of my tenure as Grand Knight, it has been my honor and privilege to have lead and served my Brothers of Council 6904. Thank you, thank you all.

May His Peace be with you,

Derek J. Jess

Grand Knight
